Lionel Joseph Thuotte

Lionel Joseph Thuotte, 91, of Phoenix passed away on April 26, 2013, joining his beloved wife Chantal (Cathy) who preceded him. Lionel was born in Plainfield, Connecticut, July 23, 1921. He served in the Navy and was a proud veteran. In 1958, he moved to Phoenix, with his family. In Phoenix, he began working construction, quickly becoming a master cement finisher. He was the “go-to” person for difficult projects and took great pride in his work. Following retirement, he explored his creative skills, making bird houses, trays, walking sticks and canes. He donated his canes to nursing homes and gave them to family and friends who will treasure them for years to come. He was a member of the Palm Lakes Village Men’s Club and enjoyed serving coffee at many events. Lionel also particularly enjoyed his many trips with his good buddy, Lendell Sherrick and occasionally visiting casinos with Martha Sherrick. Lionel is survived by his loving daughter, Terri, his two brothers Roger and Gerard and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
