James Loving Mccain

James Loving McCain, Jr., 61, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away May 6, 2013.

He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Louise Trotter McCain and James Loving McCain, Sr. and his sister Martha Louise McCain

He is survived by his wife, Judy Dunn McCain, and their dog, Mason; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Dunn; and his sister-in-law, Susan Dunn Harwell and family.   He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Trotter and McCain families.

After graduating from Chamberlin Hunt Military Academy, Jim received a degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He later worked on an off shore oil rig and obtained a Petrochemical Engineering Degree. Because of his love for the water, he obtained his captain’s license and was involved in the yachting industry throughout the United States.

Jim spent every summer of his life at his family cottage at Epworth, located in Ludington on Lake Michigan.  He volunteered at the Epworth Historical Society, was on the Epworth Memorial Committee, and participated in the various activities and events of the Epworth community  

Never meeting a stranger, Jim always left people with a smile.  His extraordinary sense of humor was an indication of his love for life and for others.
