James E. Bell

James E. Bell died May 8, 2013. Born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on May 30, 1935 to Dorothy Biggers Bell and James R. Bell. Jim earned a Masters Degree in Counseling from ASU and in 1963-64 was named Young Man of the Year by the Phoenix Jaycees. Jim served in the US Marine Corp and was stationed in Japan from 1956 to 1958. He worked for Raytheon Corporation in Tucson for many years before retiring in 2008. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Biggers Bell, father James R. Bell, brother Harris Lynn Bell and his stepmother Margaret Ives Bell. He is survived by his two sons James Neill Bell, David Brian Bell and their mother Norma Bell, his brothers Mike Bell (Heather), Michael Owen and sister Bronwyn Owen and three grandchildren, Alexandra Bell, Samantha Bell and James Tyler Bell. Jim is also survived by his partner of many years, Holly Truxell. Services will be held on May 18, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Ln. Scottsdale, Arizona at 2PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Valley.
