Harry Egan Adamson Jr. 1949 - 2021

 ADAMSON HARRY EGAN, JR. Died Saturday April 3, 2021 in Phila., PA. He was 72 and had lived in Phila., PA since 1981. He was born in Kansas City, MO to Harry Egan and Mary Ellen (Yarrington) Adamson. His parents, a policeman and a court reporter, died in his youth, but Harry's firm belief in the Communion of Saints sustained him. He will rest beside his sister, Mary Kathleen Brown, and her daughter, Bridget Marie Lee. He leaves his brother, Patrick Egan and Wendy Adamson; and their sons Bryan and wife Abby of Clearwater, FL; Corey and wife Melissa of St. Louis and his niece, Mary Lynn Sparks of Lee's Summit, MO. He was a graduate of Bishop Lillis High School, Rockhurst College, BA in Philosophy (President of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity), and LaSalle University, MA in Pastoral Counseling. Harry was deeply grateful to the Benedictine Sisters at Lillis and the Jesuit Fathers at Rockhurst. He was formerly associated with Bishop Hogan High School, The Kansas City Star, The American Restaurant, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Philadelphia Community Health, Temple University Family Development Center and Harry's Bar & Grill (Center City Philadelphia). He was an aficionado the New York Times since age nineteen. Harry had decades of kind support from his primary, Dr. Stephen P. Hauptman, his social worker, Jeanmarie Zippo RN, and his psychiatrist, the late Dr. John E. Fryer, all in Philadelphia. Services will be announced later at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 88th and Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO with burial there at Memorial Park Cemetery.
