It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of "Jack" Fritz Jr. after a courageous battle with cancer on May 5, 2021. Jack was 56 years young.
Jack was predeceased by his mother Joyce (Lilly) Fritz, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Jack is survived by his parents John "Jack" Sr. and Suzanne Fritz of Selbyville, DE, his sister Joyce (Anthony) D'Amico of Morrisville, PA, his brother Jeffrey (Christine) Fritz of Voorhees, NJ. and his girlfriend, Dianela Estrella of Philadelphia. Jack was the "best uncle ever" to Jennifer and Jake Fritz of Voorhees, NJ and Anthony and Nicholas D'Amico of Morrisville, PA. Jack is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born December 19, 1964, Jack grew up in Southampton, PA and was a 1982 graduate of William Tennent High School in Warminster, PA. He turned his passion for everything musical, especially the Beatles, into a lifelong career. He was the owner and operator of Noise Pollution Records, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year at 4th & South Streets in Philadelphia. Jack lived and loved his store and its customers who became his extended family. He knew everything about every record he sold and he was known to everyone on 4th Street. He was an expert on all things Beatles and in 2005 traveled with his brother Jeff to London and Liverpool on a Magical Mystery Tour of all places Beatles.
His kindness shined every day as Jack was always there help strangers by offering a cup of coffee or giving to the needy he met on 4th Street. Jack was kind, generous and funny.
The Fritz family would like to thank Dianela for all of her love, support and care for Jack during his illness.
A celebration of Jack's life and musical legacy will be celebrated on Friday, May 21st at 11:30am outside at The Headhouse Shambles, 200 Pine Street (2nd & Pine Streets), Philadelphia. Informal dress, please. Social distancing practices will be in place.
