Julia Ann Clark of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 18,

2021. Julia was the daughter of the late Valdor E. Jr. and Ann B. (Peirce) Clark.
Julia had a love for learning and graduated class valedictorian of Lower Merion
High School. She graduated with high honors from the University of Pennsylvania’s
School of Nursing. After working as the head nurse at Lankenau’s maternity unit, she
went on for further studies and graduated from Columbia University School of
Nursing’s DNP Midwifery program. Julia practiced midwifery at Lankenau Hospital and
taught midwifery at the University of Pennsylvania. Julia was passionate about her role
as a midwife and was greatly respected by the many women she served.
The greatest joy in Julia’s life was when she adopted her daughter, Paty. Having

Julia’s heart. They became inseparable.

Julia was a bookworm! She was especially fond of mysteries. If she wasn’t
reading, she was engaged in a crossword puzzle. Julia shared her love of reading by
volunteering at Delaware County Literacy Council.
Julia was also fond of animals and enjoyed her dog and cats.
Julia is survived by her loving daughter, Paty Clark.
