Ginger Rajaniemi 1948 - 2021

 BROWNS MILLS, NJ – Ginger K (Nazelrod) Rajaniemi, 72, passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 19, 2021.

Ginger was born in Cumberland, MD, on June 1, 1948 to Vernon Lee “Bob” and Betty (Lynch) Nazelrod.

Ginger spent many years as an active member of the community. She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW Memorial Post #6805, in Browns Mills. She was also a long time member of the American Legion Eden-Stanley Post #294 in Pemberton and the Moose Lodge #737 in Mt Holly. Ginger worked as a Teacher Aide in Burlington Township, and was part of the NJ Education Association. Ginger enjoyed playing video games, comics and anything involving arts and crafts especially ceramics. She frequented many anime conventions with her daughter Amber, often in costume.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bernard L Rajaniemi, their daughter Amber L Rajaniemi, along with five stepchildren: Bernard L Rajaniemi of Antrim, NH; Dorothy Kelly of Deering, NH; Kimberly Galbraith of Belmont, NH; Matthew Rajaniemi and his wife Crystal of Antrim, NH and Robin Nichols and her husband David of Antrim, NH. Ginger also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.

Ginger is predeceased by her parents and brother Robert “Craig” Nazelrod. Craig’s wife Maria currently resides in Germany.
