Gregory Bailey

Gregory Lynell Bailey was born in Trenton NJ on Jan 8, 1968 to Carrie Mae Bailey and Gregory Lawrence Troutman. He is the eldest child of both. He spent his earlier childhood days in Newark NJ  and his teen years living in Fairfield Suisun Ca. He also lived in  Sacramento, Ca and Mesa, AZ where he passed away on May 30, 2021, peacefully.

He earned his High Diploma at Armijo High School Class of 1986. He then went on to attend Solano Community College. He was very popular at both schools and had a host of friends and acquaintances.  He was known by the nickname of Beetle.

He was expert on and a fanatic of cars with a strong liking for Toyotas. In fact, he still owned a 1984 Corolla that he was always doting on.  He had an exceptional employment record as an auto parts sales rep, a dealership Service Advisor, a fulfillment center employee, a bodyshop estimator and a transportation driver.   Some of his employers were Toyota WalnutCreek, Kaiser Permanente, Amazon, O'Reilly Auto Shop, and Chief Auto Parts,

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Mae, father Gregory Lawrence, his paternal sister Lashawn Stuckey and brother Gregory Tiawan Troutman, his maternal cousins Henrietta Boyce and Willie Mae Haymer, his Great Aunt Lillie Mae Haymer and his life partner of eight years Rosalinda Mason. 

Gregory is survived by his children Soliel Trujillo and Victor Gregory, his sister Charmaine Lynette Bailey, his aunts Valarie Bailey and Jacqueline Bailey Atkinson and his uncle Joseph Battle Bailey Jr.  He also leaves behind his paternal Aunt Patricia Hamilton nee Troutman and paternal uncle Dane Tucker; his siblings from his paternal side Monique Roberts, Melody Roberts, Sajada Boatwright and Shimaya Troutman; cousins Willie Atkinson Jr., Jason Bailey, Jacqueline Lizzette Atkinson, Joseph Henderson, April Brooks, Manza Atkinson and Terra Watkins.  Paternal cousins Sherry Troutman, Nichelle Troutman, and Joshon Troutman.  He also has many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews from both his maternal and paternal sides, including Erika Bailey and Dara Bailey who will miss him dearly.  

Growing up Greg had many hobbies and interests : creating mixed music tapes and cd's and cars. He was a trendsetter in the early days of the Hip Hop culture.  It was well established that he lived for the San Francisco 49'ers.

His friends and coworkers loved his personality and his work ethics.  He was a motivational and inspiring individual and a joy to be known and loved by so many.  

He will be missed.
