Dorothy Wichouski 1925 - 2021

 Dorothy R. Wichouski nee (Caruso) 96 of Ridley Park, PA went to her eternal rest with the Lord on June 2, 2021 in Broomall, PA.

Dorothy was born and raised in South Philadelphia.  On February 26, 1925, She was the 9th child born to two Italian Immigrants from Sicily, Gasper and Catena Caruso. As a young girl she spent time as an apprentice seamstress in her mother's South Philadelphia dress shop. Aunt Katie's Dress & Wedding Gowns.  For a short time Dorothy started her own business and opened her own dress shop. Dorothy was a long time employee working for Boeing Helicopters in Ridley Township as a dispatcher where after 24 years she retired in 1988.  As a retirement gift to herself Dorothy took a trip to Hawaii. This is where she said she "had found Heaven on Earth".

Dorothy always enjoyed dancing, travelling, shopping and taking bus trips to the Atlantic City casinos. Dorothy was also an avid pet owner, having owned several dogs and a cat.  But she mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by a son Jesse Wichouski and his wife Cindy (nee Harris),  daughter: Lisa and her husband Zenon Bilyj, 4 grandchildren: Andrew and his wife Kelsey, Michael Bilyj, Ryan Bilyj and Sabrina Bilyj.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gaspari and Catena Caruso, brothers Anthony, Salvatore, Salvatore, Joseph, John,  sisters Angelina (Standen), Catherine (Alesio), Mary (Campanelli), and Rita (Bergevin).

Grave is located in Section 47

Enter cemetery from Baily Rd. Go past the cemetery offices and take Getsemane Avenue to Holy Cross Avenue and make a left. Take Holy Cross Avenue to Nicodemus Avenue and make a left, the grave site will be on the right side or contimue on Holy Cross Avenue to Aramathea Avenue and turn left.The grave site will be on your left.
