Dona Mae Jewitt 1938 - 2021

 Dona Mae Jewitt (nee Smith), 83, of West Chester, joined the Lord on August 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Donald G. Jewitt.

Born in Norristown, PA, in 1938, she graduated from Norristown High School.

She had the distinct honor to serve as one of the first secretaries for the Patriarch of Villanova Law School; Dean Harold Reuschlein. It was during her time at Villanova that she met a law school student, Donald, who would become the love of her life.

A truly wonderful wife and caring mother, she thrived on showering her family with love and attention and capturing every moment on her camera. She was also a great dog mom to her golden retrievers Maddie and Muffin and her beagle, Samantha.
Dona had an infectious laugh and was a true Phillies fan; her favorite player was Shane Victorino.

Christmas was a special family time for her and everyone looked forward to her famous Christmas vegetable soup.

She was an avid reader and loved listening to Golden Oldies. In her younger years she enjoyed antiquing, sewing, bowling and paddle tennis. She also loved sunbathing and spending time in Ocean City, NJ.

She was a devout Christian and spent many years volunteering at Christ Church in Media.

Dona is survived by her four children Jeffery S. Jewitt, Gregory S. Jewitt (Mary), Robyn L. Jewitt and Bradley S. Jewitt (Cheryl), and three grandchildren; Matthew, Kevin and Hunter; and her sisters Rae Tilliges (Tom) and Debbie Scott (Jim).

A funeral service will be held on August 19, 2021 at 10:00AM in the Wellington Auditorium 1361 E. Boot Road West Chester, PA 19380. A private burial will follow the service.
