In Loving Memory of Mary Marie Brown

Mrs. Mary Marie Brown was born on August 20, 1935 in Navarro County to Paul Wesley and Mary Ella Melton. On June 10, 1950 she married James "Mr. Sandy" Brown and to this union eight children were born.

She was proceded in death by her parenys, husband James Brown, one brother PW Melton and two sisters, Emma Lee Brown and Willie Jean Bailey. She was affectionately known as  Ma'Dea to those she loved. Ma'Dea was a wofe of 59 years, seamstress, excellent cook, interior decorator, hard worker, comedian, and mother to all who loved her. Over the years Madea served in the church as a deaconess, she sung in the choir, she worked hard in the kitchen as a cook and worked with the junior ushers during her membership at New Bethel Baptist Chirch under the leadership of Rev.  Ernest Betts. Madea loved God and wanted to be sure that those she knew and loved to "get their house in order." She was not afraid to share the good news of Jesus Christ. From time to time Ma'Dea attended Sixth Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop KD Davis but was a member of Life in the Word Bible Church under leadership of Pastor Emma Lilly.

She is survived by seven daughters and one step daughter: Linda Jenkins of Mesquite, Tx; Joyve A. Newsome (James) of Duncanville, Tx; Marilyn Brown of Duncanville, Tx; Emma J. Lilly (Larry) of Desoto, Tx; Shelia McCoy of Duncanville, Tx; Sandra F. Brown of Huntsville, Tx and Beverly Nolly (Robert); Mary Esther Slaughter of Corsicana Tx. She also leaves behind three sisiters, Jackie Smith (Timothy) of  Arlington, Tx; Dorothy Mae Tunnell of Dover, DE; May Francis Melton of Austin, Tx and one brother Ernest Ray Walker (Josphine) of Corsicana Tx; 20 children, 45 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, special niece Synthia Tolliver and other relatives.
