July 1, 1961 to March 24, 2023

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  Michelle was loved as she passed peacefully at Paoli Hospital on Friday, March 24, 2023. She was born in Vung Tau, Vietnam. Fortunately she was able to come the US in 1981 through a sponsorship with the McKelvey family. The McKelvey family was gracious enough to take in Michelle and her siblings. She spent her first years navigating the land and language.

She was the daughter of the late An and Caterina Pham and grandmother of late Joseph Lay.  She is survived by her son - Duy (Kim) Le, daughters - My Hanh (David) Lay, Melissa (Vincent) Le, Theresa Le, and her grandchildren Melayla, Keyo, Tyler, Layla, Michael, Gianna, and Leilani. She is also survived by many siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Michelle was devoted to her family and friends. In her leisure time, she loved helping others and bringing everyone together with her various traditional dishes, and her famous Korean glass noodles dish. She enjoyed family gatherings, hosting Easter holidays and Girls’ Night In at her nail salon. She enjoyed shopping trips, spoiling her grandchildren and weekend trips to Chinatown and Farmer’s Markets.

Michelle was known as a kind and generous small business owner who supported her local community and gave everything she could. As a Breast Cancer Survivor, she was a strong and confident woman. She was treasured by many and will be missed by all.

Later in her life, she found companionship with Robert Sablian, also known to us lovingly as Mr. Rob. Michelle and Rob vacationed down the shore in Sea Isle City, NJ and explored many community activities together, even her first Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life and viewing on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 6PM to 9PM and on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10:30AM to 11:15AM followed by her Funeral Mass.  All will be held at Saint Alice Church located at 150 Hampden Road in Upper Darby, PA 19082.
