Charles and I grew up together as part of the College Acres gang in one of the best of times in Aiken's history. We played together, fought,hunted, raced bikes and motor scooters,fought, drove rival school buses raced Ford Against Chevy,fought, and throughout it all remained best of friends for life. Sandy and I were blessed with a last visit by Charles and Connie on their way from Seattle to Aiken and will treasure the last time we were able to spend together. His larger than life laugh and zest for life should be a lesson for us all.
