Charles Hayward Allin

Charles Hayward Allin, 68, of Aiken, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Charles Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta , GA.

He was born in Malden , West Virginia and had lived in Aiken since the early 1950?s.? He was a devoted father and loving husband.? A proud veteran of the US Navy, he had a long career as a residential & commercial painter.? He was an avid golfer and never backed down from a challenge on the pool table.? He loved life and lived it to the fullest.? He is loved by many and will be missed by many.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, Charles William Allin and Golda Eichinger Allin, and a son Kevin Allin.? He is survived by his wife, Patsy Allin, Aiken; a son, Greg Allin, Tampa, FL; three daughters,? Michelle Smith, Trenton, SC, Constance Sparks, Aiken and Diane Allin, Macon, GA; two sisters, Charlene Collins (Jerry Collins-deceased), North Augusta, SC and Diane Purvis (Andy Purvis), Wrens, GA and eight grandchildren.

?A celebration of life ceremony for Mr. Allin will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2pm at the VFW Post 5877, 116 Midway Circle (off Whiskey Rd ), Aiken.? Arrangements are by SC CREMATION & BURIAL SOCIETY, honored providers of VETERANS FUNERAL CARE, 1910 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Graniteville , SC. ? In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
