when deessie moved in with me she had a broken ankle our cat angle would steal dessie's sock off of her broken foot and take off runnin with it and then the cat would hide the sock and we would never see the sock agin the cat stold at lest 7 socks.... i love u dess and u will always be in my heart..LOVE PATSY - Amy Claborn

She was one of my mommas best friends. They went through endless things together, and even through bad times they remained friends. I was lucky enough to get to meet Dess when she came onvacaction with my momma ( Patsy) on vacation to Ky. She was a very nice lady. I first met Dessie and her sister Linda on Aug eighth, nineteen sixty five.
I had given Less Gross a ride in my fifty five Oldsmobile to go and see Dessie.
Upon hearing the Old's engine, Dessie opened the window shade in the bedroom she was in, just as Linda was coming into the room with nothing but a towel......on her head.
I saw Linda only for an instant, as when she saw me looking through the window at her, she disappeared by falling to the floor.
Dessie always loved the fact that the first time I ever saw my wife, she was nude and enjoyed telling the story to all of our friends over the years.
Linda wants to say, "Thanks Dessie, for a wonderful forty seven years with Pat."
She was quick to see the humor in any situation and had a loving nature.
Dessie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
