My dear Barb....we had some very special days together. We laughed, we shared and we became friends. Our love for dogs connected us immediately and we found their presence and company so enjoyable. You had such funny stories and we laughed alot. My first friend in Winterhaven..... .. You were a warm and special gal and I will always hold you fondly in my heart. Rest in Peace dear Barb.

Dear Jeannie & Shannon,You have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard of Aunt Barb's passing from our cousin Barb. Your mom/grandmom was an amazing gal - I hope we get to share some of your memories of her soon. With much love and sympathy - your cousin Jan

We remember Barbara as a beautiful and kind friend. Being snow-birds to the desert, she was the first person to welcome us to our home in Palm Desert every winter. We became very close friends after she had an accident and we befriended her, which brought us closer to her. We are very grateful for her friendship and we will think of her often with fondness.

I loved Barbara. I thought it was great that she cared so much about looking good in her old age. She always appeared dressed to the 9's and ready to go out. She was always so very nice to me. May God bless her.

If roses grow in Heaven, LordPlease pick a bunch for me.Place them in my Mother's armsAnd tell her they're from me.Tell her I love her and miss her,And when she turns to smile,Place a kiss upon her cheekAnd hold her for a while.Because remembering her is easy,I do it everyday,But there is an ache within my heartThat will never go away. ~ Anonymous

A full time babe-full time free spirit-a maker of art and when not making, appreciating full time. Thank you for giving and adoring. I bet you remain the life of the party on the other side.

Jeannie, your Mom was always loving and kind towards me - even though we probably gave her fits sometimes growing up. She was a babe and always snazzy! My whole family will always remember her with great fondness. We love you forever.

Barbara was my mother's, Mary Hickey, best friend for about 45 years. They had many crazy adventures together, including traveling back and forth to Barbara's beach homes and their homes in the Palm Springs areas. Barbara was a unique character, both artistic as an interior designer and gregarious. She, Mom, and Jan Scott were the 3 social Musketeers. She did a beautiful job doing the interior design on one of Mom's bathrooms - a beautiful tangerine that only she could pull together- quite stunning. What I enjoyed the most about Barbara besides her sunny personality, was her insight into human nature. Once in awhile she would tell me something mind blowing. I would think, "She's right." Barbara will be strongly missed. I know there is now a little hole in Mom's heart where Barbara once lived.
