Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Happy Birthday to the most beautiful woman inside and out that I've ever had the pleasure to know and the blessing to be able to call my Grandma. This year has been far from the easiest and I know these next couple months will be even harder. I miss you more now than ever. I hope your up there celebrating with everyone, having a lavish party like you deserve Grandma. I love you so much. I'm cooking your recipes next week for Thanksgiving :) Keep watching over us.

I miss you.

I'll tell you one thing, it doesn't get easier. I miss you more with every day. I can't go to your's and Grandpa's house without thinking you're just right upstairs in your chair watching tv with Molly on your lap. None of this has felt real to me, I feel like your still here but you're not. I think that's the hardest thing to grasp. I haven't been able to talk about you being gone yet Grandma, I'm trying though. I'm trying to get my feelings out because I know you would only want whats best for me, but it's the hardest thing to do. I need you here, I wish more than anything that I could hug you one last time, and tell you just how much I love you and how much you mean to me. You were my everything, and now that my everything is gone I just feel empty. Keep watching over us Grandma. We miss you. I love you so much.

You are in my thoughts....

I'm thinking of you Aunt Jane, I sometimes forget you left & went to be with loved ones in Heaven. I was telling Lara the other day that I thought about calling you & Uncle Larry to ask when we could come down & see you guys. You are the angel on one shoulder, along with my mom on the other. Together, two best friends & sisters in law saving a spot for all of us one day to join you. I miss you, I love you, I'll never forget you beautiful lady🌹.

My Love

Jane was not only a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother but truly a wonderful person. She is dearly missed by her entire family and her faithful companion for the last year, Molly.

I miss our goodnight kiss that we shared each night upon going to bed. For the last several years I would then say two little prayers prior to my falling asleep. First the serenity prayer and the other is an excerpt from an old song that I liked. It had a lot of meaning to me and it goes:

"Goodnight my Love, precious dreams and sleep tight my Love. May tomorrow be sunny and bright, and bring you closer to me."

I thank God for sharing you with me for the past 53 years. I know you'll always be with me. So for now I'll say, Goodnight my Love.

My Beloved Aunt Jane

I waited awhile to honor you here Aunt Jane....because I still can't believe you're not a phone call away. This is hard for me as I do this with my eyes welling up with tears.
I'm so thankful that I was able to see you before you made your journey home. To be able to tell you I loved you & to be able to thank you for the lifetime of love you gave me was a blessing. You have always loved & treated me as your own, you were my sweet moms sister in law & best friend. You were my wonderful dad's baby sister whom he always cherished & adored. For all the good times, the loving acceptance & all the treasured memories I'll hold in my heart forevermore....I gratefully thank you. I love you & I'll see you when I get to Heaven. Save me a spot at your table up there Aunt Jane, & if there's antiquing up there.....I'll be going with you!
Love you & you're forever in my heart,
Your niece Cheryl

Always loving

While I am not related to Jane, as a child, she always made sure I felt welcome and cared about. I the nephew of Lara and Al Winters (on the Winters side), and before there were any grand-kids on either side of the families, I was the only kid around. My family would routinely the Pierce family home for bbq's and other get-togethers, or even just to stop by and say hi.

Whenever I was along for the ride Jane and Larry always treated me like I was part of their family, but most importantly I remember how Jane always took time to talk to me, ask me how I was doing, about my interests, how I was doing in school. As an only child it can be pretty lonely sometimes, especially when another grandchild would come along for almost 10 years.

Thank you Jane for always making me feel loved and welcome. Your love and tenderness are the kinds memories the world needs to remember how we should be unto each other.

God has you in His arms, I have you in my heart.

My beautiful Mom, oh how I miss you. This feeling I have in my heart is of both heartache and joy. My heart aches in knowing I wont be able to see you, hug you or simply just hold your hand.. My joy is in knowing you are in Heaven at peace, no longer suffering and being reunited with family and friends. How beautiful it must be.

I will forever cherish all the great memories our family has shared from parties, to big family dinners, to river trips and softball, and boy were there many.

You were such an amazing Mom, Mother in law, and Grandmother. So caring, thoughtful, compassionate and loving. family was always very important to you and I will carry your values with me always. We are truly blessed. I know you will forever watch over us and continue to guide us.

You are my love, my life, my Mom.

Aunt Jane was a wonderful and beautiful woman. She had such a brightness to her, that everyone around her just lit up. Even though I was only able to know her for a short time, I am grateful for that time spent with her. I also enjoy hearing all the wonderful stories about Jane. My heart and thoughts go out to the Day and Pierce family's, she will be dearly missed.

To a special cousin, Jane Pierce

Dick and I had not seen Jane and Larry for many years. When we started coming to Az. to visit our son we reconnected with them. It was instant reconnection. We traveled to California and had such fun, visiting, playing cards, eating Jane's wonderful meals, traveling. We surely treasure those times together. We were never allowed to stay in a motel and 2 years ago when we brought our son and grandson they were cordially invited to stay with the Pierces. We will really miss Jane and will keep those special times in our hearts.

To sweet Aunt Jane and all of her beautiful family left behind..

Coming down south when we were little meant not only going to Laura's house, but defiantly going over to Aunt Jane and Uncle Larry's house to swim and eat Cheeze It's up stairs while watching tv:) You Aunt Jane were the prime example of a strong family woman, and you and Uncle Larry's love that stood the test of of time and all obstacles reminds me so much of my Grandpa and Grandma... you were a truly cherished woman, and as we get older, and start family's of our own, I promise to lead by all of your examples.. I no there were so many people so anxious to greet you and ready to party up there! Love and will miss you always..

Forever Changed

When you think of great women in history, the qualities that come to mind are extreme strength, courage, love, and perseverance. I’ve been lucky enough to meet one of those women, and better yet been able to call her Grandma. She’s shown me what family is and what it’s all about, always finding any excuse to get the family together. Heck, it’s flag day, let’s have a BBQ?! She found so much joy in cooking a meal for the family, never expecting anything in return, what a woman of humility she was. That joy of cooking I definitely got from her, and I plan on continuing that legacy she left. She was the rock of our family; always there when you needed her, she wouldn’t miss any opportunity to tell you how proud of you she was, or an opportunity to tell you she loved you. I could go on and on with different memories that she gave me but the most important one to me is family. She created this bond that we have, and we will continue the importance of family for the years to come. I miss you Grandma, a huge part of my life is now gone. You’ve helped make me the person I am today and for that I am forever grateful. My life is forever changed, you’ve left some big shoes to fill, but your legacy of the importance of family will forever be carried on.
