Just a big hearted teddy bear...

During one of our lunches Chuck told a story I will never forget. He was on the road driving, I forget to where but it was raining and he stopped at a gas station. Outside the gas station was a couple of teenagers waiting to catch a ride. The girl was very, very sick and the boy went up to Chuck and asked for a ride. Chuck took a chance and gave them a ride but told us in his mind his thoughts were "What am I doing? I'm gonna die they are going to knife me!" as he didn't know them from Adam. Of course the ride went smooth and the kids were so very appreciative to him for the ride. I just thought the world of Chuck for letting is heart and humanity lead on that situation and taking a chance and helping those poor kids. I will always remember that story and how big a heart Chuck had.

The beauty of your friendship
Is one that won’t be forgotten
The charm of those blue eyes
Will positively be haunting
Your heart though it was your demise
Gave so much to every sunrise
Your humor we will sadly miss
Yet remembered upon a kiss
Kindness is what you chose
Blossoming like a rose
Mercy was your way of life
Now you stand without strife
Rest in peace Mr. Pennington
We will remember you till the end
