Anthony DeLuca's Story

Anthony "Tony" DeLuca, 57, of Aston, PA, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
Anthony was born in South Philadelphia and has lived in Aston for the past 3 years.  Prior to that, he lived in Folcroft for 23 years.  Anthony was a musician who played the drums and sang for the bands, Flipside and his current band, Above Ground.  He was active for a number of years in the Folcroft Boys Club.  Mr. DeLuca worked at the Sun Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook for 30 years up until 2001 and was currently working as a maintenance coordinator at Villanova University.
He is the son of the late Victor DeLuca and Marlene Napoli.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret Serratore DeLuca; daughter Jennifer DeLuca of Boothwyn, PA; sons, Anthony and his wife Alisha of Ridley, Matthew of Philadelphia and Steven of Boothwyn; four grandchildren, Vincent, Joseph, Gabrielle and Aubrey; brothers, Thomas of Langhorne and Joseph of New Jersey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass 11:30 am on Thursday, September 27 at St. Kevin's Catholic Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 where friends may call from 9:30-11:30.  Interment will follow in Ss Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, 555 North Lane, Ste. 5010 Conshohocken, PA 19428.
