Brotherly Love

Ron was genuinely a kind and giving person! Those qualities translated into one of the most loyal and trusted employee's and friend we ever had. In Alan's words - "I loved him like a brother!"

Alma, Erica, and family, thank you for sharing Ron with us for so many years. We all miss him greatly! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Lasting memories

I was fortunate enough to meet Ron in person just once. Ron's legacy will live with us forever, that is how impactful his life was, and how impactful he was as a human being. I am lucky enough to have 'met' Ron through his beautiful wife Alma. The love and memories that Miss Alma was kind enough to share with me will forever live within me, and give me hope that true love lives every single day. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." - Corinthians 13:4. Love is and will forever be Ron and Alma

My First Boss

Thank you for showing me how to think out of the box. Thank you for showing me how to bring passion and energy to everything you do in life. Thank You for showing me that if you love everything you do in life, you will never work one day in life. God Bless you and keep you.

Beloved Cousin Ron

I had the pleasure of meeting Ron,the year before my cousin Alma and Ron married. Ron was truly as humble, kind, honest and loving man back then, as he was to the end. The Palomar & Carrillo families were blessed to have him in the family. I was honored to be their Maid of Honor when they married and knew the love they shared then, would endure all trails and difficulties and it did. We loved Ron very much and respected him for the person he was. Alma, he was your Soul Mate Prima... We have and will keep beautiful memories of Ron. We Love You Very Much... My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I am so very sorry for your loss. Ron was a very kind man and I was glad to have known him. He worked with my family for years with Baseline Group and he was a treasured employee and friend. He was always quick to help out with anything. And I mean ANYTHING! :) What a fantastic sense of humor! We should all endeavor to live life the way Ron seemed to: With a tender heart and a big smile. God bless...

An Amazing Man

I met Ron in 2004 when he interviewed me for the DOS position. Ron asked me to tell him a little about myself professional and what my favorite thing was, I of course told him my passion for my rescue of Pugs. Well that sealed the deal, as he told me all about his Pug :). We traveled together a little on business and never stopped laughing. One the kindest nicest men I have had the pleasure of knowing. I only wish I'd seen those wedding photos before now so I could have teased him a bit in how skinny he was. I will miss him, but will never forget him and all he taught me. Our loss is heavens gain. Until we meet again.

My friend Ron

Ron has to be one of the best persons that anyone could know. Ron and I worked together for over twenty years. This turned into a friendship that I have treasured. Alma, Ron, my husband Bob and myself have laughed a lot.

When my Bob had a stroke Ron was a great friend and support to me. From hot dog lunches to Christmas party where only Ron could talk my Bob into being Santa Claus. We had fun.
I had the deepest respect for Ron and will miss him.

Sylvia Bechtelheimer, Loving Friend

Oh, my sweet soul! Ron has been an inspiration to me ever since I met him through his beloved Alma (via the Wellness Community)! He endured more than his share of misery and physical limitations during his short time on this planet, yet he would always smile and his eyes would twinkle, and he would look ahead, with hope in his heart. Alma is a saint! She nursed him through another and yet another difficulty, all the while taking care of the diabetes and side effects all of his illnesses which came to her partner and soulmate; I never saw another person be so able to turn weird events in Ron's life into humor the way she did! As you can see by these slides, Ron was a handsome guy when the couple got married ("We were HOT, Babe!" Alma would tease). He worked hard until he no longer could do so; he had a true Life Ethic that shone out of him at all times. We love you, Ron. Have fun debating and laughing up there with Arnie (Webster); I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of those there to greet you and help you cross over, because he loved and respected you. So does anyone who ever met you, Ron. You perfectly exemplified the familiar scriptural epitaph: "Well done, good and faithful servant!" -Love always, Sylvia Bechtelheimer

My Dad

My father, Ron Soto, was intentional with both his family and my family with Dan and my boys by living with purpose every day of his life. Growing up he showed me through his actions what a person, a husband, and a father who walks in Christ should be. Because of the example that he set I looked for a man who had the same intentional characteristics that my father had. I was blessed to find my husband early in my life, we have been happily married for 16 ½ years. My father has been an enormous influence, example, and friend to myself, my husband, and my sons. In 2009 my father was diagnosed with leukemia. The prognosis was bleak. But his faith never waned. In fact it grew! He showed us how to live intentionally in what seemed an impossible situation. He showed us what it meant to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV). Even in the darkest of times, when we were sure his body would succumb to the cancer, he continued to show us how to walk in Christ and praise Him in all things. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 28:7 (NIV). He continued to praise the Lord uninhibitedly until he died. He would tell his story to anyone who would listen and shared how the Lord carried him through his illness. He is an inspiration to my family by the life he lived intentionally every day.
