My beloved brother

Danny, I love you so much. I have known you for the 40 years of your life, we were only 2 years apart. My little brother, our lives were not easy, but the love we had for our family was enought to get us through no matter what. It was just the 4 of us for the first 11 years, dad, mom, you and me, then our sister was born. God always made a way for us to make it through the toughest moments. Through good and bad, your smile, your lively personality made every situation better. You cared more for everyone else than yourself, that selfless love is hard to find these days. The lives of the people you touched, everyone has something wonderful to say about you. I am going to miss you, a day will not go by without a memory of you. I called mom almost every day and would ask, How is "Nino" doing, I know you hated that nick name but I meant it with love. If only I had one more moment with you to tell you I love you, hold you, hear your voice and that beautiful laugh. Life will not be the same, but you have left valuable lessons for me to follow, to love regardless of the situation, be kind and patient with others, stop and listen to someone's story, help someone whenever you can without excuse, live life to the fullest and seek God in everything. Going through this moment of not having you in our lives is the most difficult thing in life that I have felt, but knowing God and His promises, He is a good God and my hope is in seeing you once again. I knew the love you had for my wife and how you spoke about her caring for me and our children always made you happy. Your nieces and nephews are asking for Tio Danny. I have plenty of more memories that I will hold onto, they might make me cry for now, but until I see you again my Nino, my friend, my brother with much love - Javier.
