I remember when Mike & Linda were blessed with Matthew... who Linda called Dillon throughout her pregnancy.... then decided he wasn’t a “Dillon”! Matthew was such a handsome baby boy mad young man... then I moved and lost track of the Edwards. I am deeply saddened to learn of this tragic loss. Prayers for my dear friends, Mike, Linda and Adam.

One time Matt gave me pink eye.

Some of my favorite memories of Matt have to do with presents he gave me. He was possibly the best gift-giver I've ever known. He gave care packages when I was feeling down, including what he described as an "I'm sorry your boyfriend is an idiot" plant that is still flourishing on my window sill at work. My favorite present he ever got me was custom-made awareness bracelets like the Livestrong ones you can buy, except mine said "Limpstrong," because I was having ankle surgery. I handed them out to anyone who had to deal with me, including my surgeon. It was the best.

His greatest gift was absolutely his presence, of course. He was there for me, in person or by phone or by ridiculous meme-laden text message, whenever I needed him, sometimes before I realized I needed him.
