Al Thompson - former Carroll strength coach

I remember Drew as a dedicated athlete and loyal family member and a friend to teammates and everyone he met. Sad to see someone leave us so young.
He is a special member of the Archbishop Carroll football family will be forever. Rest in Peace, Drew.

You were a mentor, a friend & an inspiration without asking for anything in return. I will always remember our talks in the locker room, the free line-ups and the lessons taught physically & mentally on the field. We'lll miss you brother.

Drew I can not believe you are gone, I am completely saddened by the news! It still seems unreal! I will cherish the times we had together and never forget you! My prayers go out to your wife and children and the Shaw family!

Once a bulldog always a bulldog...

Rest in peace Drew Shaw Jr. truly no words to express how saddened I am by this news. there was never a day that i didn’t wish the best for him and his family or what he was getting up to in his life. He impacted so many on and off the field and I know how much he was loved not just by the Bryant community but by all those he came in contact with. .
We had a lot of great memories together at Bryant and I’m so grateful you were in my life for our years in college. The memories we had are forever imprinted in my heart. I will always remember how funny, kind , tough, yet humble, gentle, loyal and how great of a football player you were. I remember you and the entire football team piling into our home matches to support me. You were one of my biggest cheerleaders and owe some of my passion and drive I have today to our time spent in the after hours at the gym training out butts off so we could show up for preseason ready! We laughed, we smiled, we fought, we honestly were lost in love and we made a lot of people turn their heads. . I know you will be watching over us now and forever. Thinking of you today and always. 🙁 love you always Drew!’. #bryantbulldogs#46 #RIPDREWAKADADDY
