Daniel Sinclair 1931 - 2018

 Daniel Sinclair IV
Daniel Sinclair IV, 87, of West Chester passed away peacefully on September 2, 2018 at his home at Wellington Terrace in West Chester.
Dan was born on August 2, 1931 to the late Louise Parker Sinclair and Daniel Sinclair III.  As a child he lived in Norristown and enjoyed summers at his grandparent’s beach home in Delaware.  He attended Norristown High School and graduated in 1949.  Dan joined the US Air Force where he served as an aircraft mechanic in the United States and Korea.  Upon his honorable discharge from the US Air Force he worked for Reaction Motors and then for Quaker Chemical.  He retired from Quaker in 1994.
Dan married Eleanor Bernhard in September 1971 in West Chester where they shared nearly 47 years of marriage.  Together they had many great experiences traveling the globe, hiking, attending the theater, and sailing the Chesapeake on his beloved cat boat, Chessie.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and his step-daughters Martha Briggs of Sugar Valley, GA, and Charlotte Potter and her husband Steve of West Chester, PA.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life for Dan at 1:30 on September 15, 2018, at Wellington Hall, 1361 E Boot Rd, West Chester, PA.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Daniel Sinclair’s name to a charity of your choice.
