Barbara worked alongside me at The Birth Center. Although I only knew her a few years, I was inspired by her quiet faith, her obvious caring for others and her strength. She will be missed by all at TBC.
A life of testimony
Barbara lived a life of service to others. She raised and cared for many children and worked for The Birth Center for more than 30 years, retiring only 2 years ago. She was tireless and devoted to TBC's mission of natural childbirth and caring for families, and was a beloved member of our community. She was quiet and humble, but had a great depth of spirit and often spoke of following her guide, the inner light of the Society of Friends. She exemplified the Quaker spirit of living simply and peacefully, and seeing that of God in everyone.
