The Great Spirit Of Lolita Frontal

Jen was the first friend I had upon moving to Philadelphia in 2001, when she was working as a superintendent at her father's property. She was fearless in every walk of life, from posing topless on an album cover, to taking on home improvement projects wearing short shorts, to raising two girls as a single mother, to battling cancer. This past year--2020--has been hellacious for so many people in so many ways, and I'm distressed that even though we haven't spoken in over a decade, the chance of a reunion will now never come to pass. I wouldn't have fallen in love with Philadelphia had it not been for Jen's bravery in welcoming a transplant to the coveted family dinners. My heart goes out to Steve, Sierra and Amber, all the friends she and I had in common, and everyone who knew her. She was, and remains, a great spirit.
