From me to you

My grandfather or since is lovely lover is practically mother u could call him a step father of sorts. He was a lazy genius kinda resembling myself which is why i looked up to him. We would debate about topics and then laugh at poking fun of all the women in the family. From us getting water guns to torment parties or going out to eat and fight over the bill, it was all special moments. But what sucks about special moments is that you dont know its special until its over. I have stories on end but one in particular is how he always looked put for me. I never asked him or expected it, but whenever something happened he would take care of me like we were blood. Something as simple as getting ice cream after a family argument or showing me how to make something he learned in another country was really impactful. My only regret is that i never called u grandfather or pops, or any other nickname that u wouldve dreaded to hear lol.

I have several. But mu fondest is he came in church with this tie. I said brother Louis that tie would go good with this shirt i have. No hesitation at all he just took it off and handed to me. Louis memory him and shirley came for a get together. He was so funny. Him and Mary were sitting @ the table. When he grabbed all the drinks i put on the table and said all mine. We laughed. It’s been a year, and I still think you’re going to be in the car when my mom stops by. Or I’m going to hear your voice in the background when I call. I wish that you were able to get to know Aliyah better. I know you two would have been the best of friends. You’ve always treated me like a daughter, and I know that it wasn’t easy dealing with me at times, but you were always there. Right next to my mom supporting me no matter how stupid I was being. I RESPECT YOU for that. Talking to you over the years made me stronger than I’ve ever been, and I want to thank you.
I will also miss the days we would hang out, go eat, or just window shop. Those were good times, especially when mom would yell at you (and me) for doing things you weren’t supposed to. Like all the times I would grab you from Dialysis, and you’d tell me to make a detour instead of going home. Oh, mom would be mad, but she didn’t stay mad for long, and we got away with the plan. Good times.
