I feel the need for Mom never goes away...

I feel the need for Mom never goes away. As infants, young children we remained close where you waited on us hand and foot to meet our daily needs. Oh my goodness what can’t Mom do?! She’s a teacher, preacher, doctor, nurse, personal chauffeur, gourmet cook, seamstress, personal banker, counselor, referee, law enforcement officer, attorney and the list goes on and on.
You helped us to grow wings to go out into the world as we tested the waters on the block, in our neighborhood then we started to attend school. We return home for nourishment, share stories about our day, learn to take your wise advice or learn lessons the hard way, then say our prayers before we go to bed to get ready for a new day. As we take on more responsibility, we create more of a distance because we feel all grown up. We have taken flight, finished our education, have a profession and now our own families. You’re a proud grandmother as you see us welcome our own children into this world; as well as, a great grandmother. We are shocked, amazed how you modified your roles a bit and can’t believe your hard clad rules bend for the grandchildren when we couldn’t get away with anything. You only smile and remind us we’re the parents now. So, now that you have gone to heaven you will always be in my heart.
“How do you heal a broken heart? First step is to realize the heart is a strong muscle. It wants to keep going. So let it. Let it heal. Let it forgive. Let it love. That’s what it does best.”
Love, peace and blessings to you Mom.

My Mother, Phyllis

God Is Good. All the time! He blessed me with my Queen, my Mother and my Guardian Angel from up above. You have finally earned your wings which is well deserved! You have served the Lord, well done mom!

From the day I, Elizabeth was born. I never left my mother's side. We were two peas in a pod, Thelma and Louise. I was a very devoted daughter to her. I'm going to make my mother proud of me for the rest of my life. Loving memories of you always taking us to Chicken Bone Beach, (Atlantic City beach). I still have not digested the fact that you are away from me.

Only you really understood me, you were my calming factor. Please continue to guide me through life because I still need you! You have taught me well mother!

I see the signs you're sending me.
