What started as a professional relationship evolved into a 10 year friendship. Brian was gentle, kind and considerate. I found him refreshingly humble with regard to all that he had accomplished and his courage. I will miss the conversations, his sense of humor and willingness to help others. Rest well. My thoughts and condolences to JD and Brian's family.

Sending Virtual Hugs

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Brian's loss. A man ahead of his time, gone long before it should've been up.
JD, I'm deeply sorry about your unimaginable loss. I hope it helps to remember that so many people care about you both. Wish I could do something tangible to help ease your pain. XOXO

Friend and Co-Worker

Brian and I started at then Line Systems, now Telesystem, the same year back in 2010. Brian was a dedicated worker, smart, and always willing to help. He went out of his way to support others and was not short of providing quality opinion and advise. I worked multiple projects with Brian, and his organization and thoughtfulness was always refreshing.

You will be greatly missed my friend.

Great co-worker and friend

Sorry for your loss JD, Brian was a great guy with a heart of gold. I work with Brian for 10 years and some of those years, just a few feet away and the nature of our jobs would have us talking often about work and allot of time, just life in general. I thought of him as both a fellow colleague and a friend. We spoke extensively on the Friday before his accident, so I will cherish our last conversation and keep you and his family in our prayers.

JD, So sorry for your loss. Brian is a good man. I lost another friend recently and someone had copied a quote I found to be very comforting maybe you can to.
"You can shed tears because they are gone, or you can smile because they lived. You can close you eyes and pray they will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that they left for you. Your heart can be empty because you can't see them, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember only that they are gone, or you can cherish their memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind and feel empty, or you can do what they would want. Smile, Open your heart, Love and go on." -Elizabeth Ammons

Special one of a kind person

I had the privilege and pleasure to work with Brian for years. He was such a gentle soul. He had a special way of conveying technical details in a manner I could understand. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. I can't begin to count the number of times Brian walked into the office talking to either JD or his Mom. I will miss his humor and just the great person he was.

Rest in peace my friend...

Mentor in Work and in Life

When I started working in Telecommunications I had the hardest time being able to adapt to the work and stress of the job. I was fortunate in my career at that time to end up in a shift where I had to hand off to Brian. He was always there to lend a helpful word, crack a joke or take me under his wing to help me understand what I needed. As time passed we found ourselves crossing paths a few times with year or two stints working directly together and that is time I will never forget. During some of that time I had life struggles and Brian was always there for a late phone call or a helping hand as the great friend and soul he was. He will surely be missed.
My condolences to JD and all the family and friends that were lucky enough to have Brian in their lives.

Decent, Kind and Wonderful Man

I was privileged to have met Brian at ATX and we worked together there and at LSI. Brian had a wide range of knowledge on so many technical aspects. We spent many hours working together side by side. He always was willing to assist and help out. He was so very kind. I remember my wife and I had dinner with Brian and JD several years ago at The Melting Pot. I always wanted to repeat that day with them both again and am sad to say we can't now. JD you have my deepest condolences and know that I will keep Brian always in my heart and mind.

A Truly Good Human Being

The first time I met Brian, I knew JD had done the impossible. He had found his other half a second time in his life. I was honored to stand up with them for their civil union, and proud to watch the life they built together.

Lovely Host

You never think that you are going to meet up with the random people that live in your computer, but JD and Brian invited me into their home and I have some marvellous memories of that trip. Love that Brian was so welcoming xxxx JD you are one of the most interesting souls I have ever met, so many times you have made me ponder things, with the calm and kind intellect that you possess. My Favorite Cootie

I will miss you, Brian. You were, by far, the kindest, gentlest man I have ever met. Your laughter and your smile lit up the room (that is when you got over the shyness). One of my favorite memories is Christmas dinner at Beth's house. We we all together, having a wonderful time and being a family. Now for my short "cootie" story. I would always send Brian hugs and kisses by FB messenger. His reply was ALWAYS "Eww, girl cooties". I love you, Brian and will miss you terribly.

Brian was one of the first people I made friends with when BVN and ATX merged and we moved to KOP. His personality was just amazing. So many memories, and I can't believe he is gone. Love you Brian, I am so sorry we haven't kept in touch as much when I moved out West, I will never forget you my friend.
