Born in Fort Hood, Texas he was predeceased by his mother Jean Morrison Campbell and survived by his father George E. Campbell Sr.  Robert was also predeceased by his daughter Mary Ellen Campbell.

Robert was a proud US Marine and loved his country. He worked in Security, was an avid reader and he would tell you “ I am pretty punny” with a great sense of humor.

Robert's final months were spent in the loving care of the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital where he stated that they went “above and beyond for him.” He will be laid to rest in the Veterans Cemetery.
