fond memories

Joan was so talented and had a wonderful, dry sense of humor. She knitted a darling sweater for our son, Sean, when he was a baby, made an adorable dress with smocking for our daughter, Nora. We have several birds that her brother John carved from wood and she beautifully painted. While she lived in her house in Philadelphia she seemed to always have projects going--painting, knitting, sewing, weaving, etc. I have fond memories of visiting her, spending time with her there. Mark joins me in sending sympathy and condolences to all the family.
